The Saturday Seminars will begin in mid-January 2027 and will offer a variety of lecturers speaking on topics and ideas critical to our study of Ancient Greece. Past offerings have been Dr. John Camp, esteemed archaeologist and head of the Athens Agora excavations for many years; noted classicist Joel Christensen, Provost at CUNY, speaking on the epics of Homer and many, many more!!!
The Study Tour of Greece will focus on important sites in the Peloponnese. New this year and visiting for the first time, we will fly to Mykonos and then sail to the nearby island of Delos, the mythical birthplace of Artemis and Apollo. The island is uninhabited with its remarkable ancient ruins, Sanctuary of Apollo, including the iconic Terrace of the Lions.
Other places of interest are Olympia, the site of the ancient games and its beautiful Museum, Nafplion, a picturesque seaside city, known for its Venetian architecture, and the Palamidi fortress overlooking the city and environs. From Nafplion, we will visit the ancient sites of Mycenae and Epidauros, and tour the Harvard Center for Hellenic Studies. From Athens, our starting point, we will visit the Acropolis and magnificent Parthenon, the Acropolis Museum, the Benaki Museum, and we will make a visit to the site of the Battle of Marathon, its memorial tumulus. We will also visit the Sanctuary of Artemis at Vraron, and also another day trip from Athens yet to be determined.

The estimate for the 2027 land costs is $3950, based on double occupancy. This includes nine nights at 4-star hotels; daily breakfast; airport transfer upon arrival or departure if you fly on recommended flight; air-conditioned coach bus and driver; luggage tags; porterage for one bag per person (in/out at each hotel); entrance fees to all sites; round trip airfare to Mykonos; the Greek Climate Resilience tax; wi-fi headsets; gratuity for our guide; bus driver; and others who help us along the way; and the best licensed guide in Greece.
A few single rooms are available—single supplement is $1400.

Your financial responsibility:
• $300 administrative fee (non-refundable) due to reserve a place on the roster.
• $1000 deposit for the Study Tour due November 1, 2026*
