Traveling with Ancient Friends: A Guided Tour of Greece for Gods and Mortals - an illustrated lecture with Mara Kanari, one of Greece's finest storytellers.

Mara KanarI, ExL study tour guide, respected and loved by ExL/CLNE Greek Study Fellows, will take her audience on a fascinating mythological, cultural, and historical tour of Greece. Her visit to the United States is being hosted by author Suzanne Staples who directs The Gathering, Keystone's highly successful annual symposium.

Mara Kanari was born and raised in Athens, Greece. She graduated from Athens College and Greek National Guide School in Corfu and has a degree in Greek Civilization from Hellenic Open University. She leads tour groups in Greek, English and Japanese, with a strong emphasis on the rich storytelling tradition of the Greeks. She draws on myth, epic, and drama, and enchants audiences with compelling tales of common folk, gods, and heroes. Since 2001, she has delighted tourists from over sixty nations on visits to the mainland and islands of Greece.
